IAA Lebanon - International Advertising Association

Accredited University

  • Objective of IAA Accreditation

Aligned under our global compass vision, the strategic goal of the (IAA) International Advertising Association's education pillar is to help prepare marketing communications students for a future in the global marketplace.

With our academia focused content hub & regular events, we endeavor to help students and their faculty navigate the transition from academia to a career in marketing communications and advertising.

On January 1993, Kamal Darouni, Faculty Member of NDU (Notre Dame University), invited the IAA's Vice President Archie Pitcher and other Lebanese authorities and the advertising community for a seminar “Advertising Today: Moving Forward to Professionalism”; at that time, the IAA World President was Mustapha Assad. NDU (Mass Media Department) presented all the requirements for the accreditation. It was only in 1999 that NDU received the formal accreditation from the IAA for its BA degree in Advertising and Marketing, after hard work and adjustment of the curricula to meet the IAA world education requirements. Since then, NDU has participated in all inter university worldwide contests and won many rewards. In 2011, NDU won the first award for the IAA inter university contest for the Middle East region.
